Cookiebot alternative: CookieHub vs Cookiebot
Cookiebot and CookieHub are both Google-certified consent management platforms registered with the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework, and both block cookies until a visitor consents.
The real difference is how you pay. Cookiebot prices each domain by the number of subpages it has. CookieHub prices by sessions, however many pages the site has.
This page compares the two using each vendor's own pricing and documentation, checked on 24 September 2026.
The short version
CookieHub usually costs less for sites with many pages and moderate traffic, and for sites that need several languages on a budget: 62 languages from €10 a month.
Cookiebot usually costs less for small sites with a lot of traffic, because its entry plan covers up to 50 subpages whatever the traffic. Cookiebot also includes the IAB TCF on every Premium plan, and through its parent company Usercentrics it covers mobile apps and connected TV as well as websites.

How the pricing works
Cookiebot counts the subpages on each domain, and its scanner sets the plan automatically from the number of pages it finds. As a site publishes more pages, it moves up a plan. Premium Lite covers up to 50 subpages for €7 a month, Premium Medium up to 3,500 for €30, Premium Large up to 7,000 for €50 and Premium XLarge more than that for €90, each per domain. Premium Small (up to 350 subpages, €15) has only been available to accounts with four or more domains since August 2025. Subdomains such as shop.example.com are billed as separate domains.
CookieHub counts sessions. A session starts when a visitor loads the site and the banner initializes, and it covers every page they view on that visit. The number of pages makes no difference to the price. Starter is €6 a month for 5,000 sessions, Basic €10 for 30,000, Business €30 for 120,000 and Enterprise €100 from 1,000,000. Paying yearly gets you 12 months for the price of 11.
A worked example. A company blog with 1,000 pages and about 20,000 visits a month needs Premium Medium at Cookiebot, which is €30 a month. On CookieHub it fits in Basic, which is €10 a month and includes all 62 languages. One caveat: CookieHub's Basic plan scans up to 100 pages. The banner still runs on every page, and the scanner stops at the limit. Templates repeat, so most cookies show up well before then. If you want the full 1,000 pages scanned, that takes Business.
When Cookiebot costs less. A 40-page site with 100,000 visits a month fits in Cookiebot Premium Lite at €7 a month. On CookieHub it needs Business, at €30 a month. If your site is small and busy, compare the two for your own numbers.
Where Cookiebot is stronger
A fair comparison has to include these:
Apps and connected TV:
Usercentrics, which owns Cookiebot, offers consent SDKs for mobile apps and connected TV. CookieHub is registered as a web CMP.
TCF on cheaper plans:
Cookiebot includes the IAB TCF on every Premium plan. CookieHub includes it from Business, at €30 a month.
Daily scans:
Cookiebot offers daily scanning as a paid add-on. CookieHub scans weekly at most, on Enterprise.
Small, busy sites:
Traffic does not affect Cookiebot's price, so a small site with heavy traffic can cost less there.
When CookieHub is the better fit
Sites that keep growing:
Publishing more pages never changes what you pay, so blogs, shops and documentation sites do not move up a plan as they grow.
Several subdomains:
On Business and above, CookieHub scans subdomains and shares consent between them.
Many languages:
All 62 languages, with automatic detection, are included from Basic at €10 a month.
Proof of consent on every plan:
Every plan includes a consent log, including Free.
Developer control:
A documented JavaScript API with events on every plan, and a Management API for configuring the CMP on Enterprise.
Switching from Cookiebot
CookieHub builds its own cookie list from a scan, so there is nothing to export first.
Create an account:
Start the free trial and add your domain. CookieHub scans the site and sorts the cookies it finds into categories.
Review the categories and design:
Check the categorization, pick a banner template and set your colours and languages.
Swap the script:
Replace the Cookiebot script with the CookieHub script, or use the CookieHub template in Google Tag Manager. Remove Cookiebot completely so two banners never run at once.
Check the result:
Run the Google Consent Mode checker to confirm consent signals reach Google.
Expect one new prompt:
Consent stored by Cookiebot is kept in its own cookie, which CookieHub cannot read. Returning visitors are asked once more.
Frequently asked questions
