How to Add a Cookie Banner to Wix Through the Wix App Market
Table of contents
Wix makes it easy to build and manage websites, but many Wix websites still use cookies and tracking technologies that may require visitor consent before activation.
This can include Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, YouTube embeds, Marketing applications and Third party scripts and integrations.
Privacy regulations such as GDPR and ePrivacy may require website owners to collect consent before loading non essential cookies and tracking technologies.
CookieHub is now available directly through the Wix App Market, making it easier to add cookie consent management to Wix websites.
Why Wix Websites Still Need Cookie Consent
Wix provides website infrastructure and privacy related tools, but website owners are still responsible for how analytics, advertising, and tracking technologies are used on their websites.
Many Wix websites use:
Analytics tools
Advertising pixels
Embedded content
Third party applications
Marketing integrations
These technologies may place cookies or collect visitor data before consent is granted if not properly managed.
A consent management platform helps website owners manage consent preferences, block non essential tracking technologies before consent, and maintain consent records.
What Is Google Consent Mode v2?
Google Consent Mode v2 helps websites communicate visitor consent choices to Google services such as:
Google Analytics
Google Ads
Floodlight
Conversion tracking
This is especially important for websites serving visitors in the European Economic Area.
CookieHub supports Google Consent Mode v2 on Wix websites and can help website owners manage advertising and analytics consent signals while maintaining visibility into campaign and conversion performance.
