CookieYes alternative: CookieHub vs CookieYes
CookieYes is a consent platform best known for its WordPress plugin, with apps for Shopify, Wix and HubSpot. CookieHub is a consent platform for any website, with its own WordPress plugin and Shopify and Wix apps.
Both are Google-certified CMPs registered with the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework, and both block cookies until a visitor consents. The differences are in how each counts your traffic and which plan includes what.
This page compares the two using each vendor's own pricing and documentation, checked on 24 September 2026.
The short version
Choose CookieHub if you need Global Privacy Control without moving up a plan: CookieHub honors it on every plan, CookieYes from Pro at $25 a month. CookieHub also suits sites where visitors view many pages per visit, because it counts visits, not page views.
Choose CookieYes if you need the IAB TCF on a smaller budget (from Pro, $25 a month, against $35 on CookieHub), you want the widest choice of banner languages, or your visitors view only a few pages per visit.

Visits vs page views
CookieYes counts page views. Basic covers 100,000 a month for $10, Pro 300,000 for $25 and Ultimate unlimited page views, subject to a fair-use policy, for $55. On Basic and Pro, extra page views cost $0.30 per 1,000.
CookieHub counts sessions. A session starts when a visitor loads the site and the banner initializes, and it covers every page they view on that visit. Starter is $7 a month for 5,000 sessions, Basic $12 for 30,000, Business $35 for 120,000.
A worked example. Take a site with 20,000 visits a month that needs its banner in several languages. At five pages per visit that is 100,000 page views: CookieYes Basic at $10 a month costs a little less than CookieHub Basic at $12. At eight pages per visit it is 160,000 page views, which moves CookieYes to Pro at $25 (Basic plus overage would be $28). CookieHub stays at $12, because the number of visits has not changed.
If the site also has to honor Global Privacy Control for US visitors, CookieYes needs Pro whatever the traffic. CookieHub includes it on every plan, the Free plan included.
Where CookieYes is stronger
A fair comparison has to include these:
Languages:
CookieYes says its banner supports more than 175 languages, 41 of them with automatic translation. CookieHub supports 62.
TCF for less:
The IAB TCF is included from Pro at $25 a month. CookieHub includes it from Business at $35.
Deeper scans on cheaper plans:
CookieYes Basic scans up to 600 pages per scan, against 100 on CookieHub Basic.
Few pages per visit:
When visitors view only a few pages each, a page-view price can work out lower than a session price.
Agency discounts:
CookieYes offers partner discounts of up to 50% for agencies with 100 or more sites. CookieHub's partner discount is 30%.
When CookieHub is the better fit
US visitors and GPC:
Global Privacy Control is honored on every CookieHub plan, including Free.
Sites with long visits:
You pay for visits, not page views, so shops, documentation and content sites with many pages per visit pay the same however much each visitor reads.
Predictable bills:
There are no metered charges. A domain over its limit for two billing periods moves to the right plan, and the banner keeps running.
Developers:
A documented JavaScript API with events on every plan, and a Management API for configuring the CMP on Enterprise.
Switching from CookieYes
CookieHub builds its own cookie list from a scan, so there is nothing to export first.
Create an account:
Start the free trial and add your domain. CookieHub scans the site and sorts the cookies it finds into categories.
Review the categories and design:
Check the categorization, pick a banner template and set your colours and languages.
Swap the script:
Replace the CookieYes script with the CookieHub script, or use the CookieHub template in Google Tag Manager. Remove CookieYes completely so two banners never run at once.
Check the result:
Run the Google Consent Mode checker to confirm consent signals reach Google.
Expect one new prompt:
Consent stored by CookieYes is kept in its own cookie, which CookieHub cannot read. Returning visitors are asked once more.
Frequently asked questions
It depends on how many pages your visitors view.
