OneTrust alternative: CookieHub vs OneTrust
OneTrust is an enterprise trust platform: privacy automation, GRC, third-party risk and AI governance, with cookie consent as one module. CookieHub is a consent management platform and nothing else.
Both are Google-certified CMPs registered with the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework. The choice is really between a suite and a focused tool.
This page compares the two using each vendor's own website, checked on 24 September 2026.
The short version
Choose CookieHub if cookie consent is the problem you need solved and you want public prices, a self-serve trial and a setup your own team can finish in an afternoon.
Choose OneTrust if you want one vendor for consent and for privacy operations, GRC or AI governance, or if you need consent across web, mobile apps and connected TV from a single platform.

Pricing and setup
OneTrust does not publish prices for its cookie consent product. Its pricing page says the CMP is priced on “average daily visitors aggregated across all channels and properties”, and it offers a personalized quote after a call. It lists no free tier or self-serve trial, so we cannot compare prices here.
CookieHub publishes every price. Starter is €6 a month for 5,000 sessions, Basic €10 for 30,000, Business €30 for 120,000 and Enterprise €100 from 1,000,000, and there is a free plan for small sites. You can sign up, scan your site and have a banner running without talking to anyone. If you want help, Enterprise includes a customer success manager and implementation services.
There is also a difference in how much there is to run. OneTrust is a platform with many modules,. CookieHub does one job, so there is less to learn and less to maintain.
Where OneTrust is stronger
A fair comparison has to include these:
Breadth:
One vendor for consent, privacy automation, GRC, third-party risk and AI governance, with a shared data model.
Channels:
Consent across websites, mobile apps and connected TV, including Roku. CookieHub is registered as a web CMP.
Languages:
OneTrust says its banner supports more than 250 languages. CookieHub supports 62.
Universal consent:
OneTrust can tie consent to known users across devices, not just to a browser.
When CookieHub is the better fit
You need a CMP, not a suite:
If you do not plan to use OneTrust's other modules, you would be buying and running a platform to use one part of it.
Predictable, public pricing:
Every CookieHub plan and overage rule is on the pricing page.
Fast, self-serve setup:
Sign up, scan and publish the banner yourself, the same day.
Agencies and multi-site teams:
Mix plans across domains in one dashboard, with a 30% partner discount.
Developers:
A documented JavaScript API with events on every plan and a Management API on Enterprise.
Switching from OneTrust
CookieHub builds its own cookie list from a scan, so there is nothing to export first.
Create an account:
Start the free trial and add your domain. CookieHub scans the site and sorts the cookies it finds into categories.
Review the categories and design:
Check the categorization, pick a banner template and set your colours and languages.
Swap the script:
Replace the OneTrust script with the CookieHub script, or use the CookieHub template in Google Tag Manager. Remove OneTrust completely so two banners never run at once.
Check the result:
Run the Google Consent Mode checker to confirm consent signals reach Google.
Expect one new prompt:
Consent stored by OneTrust is kept in its own cookie, which CookieHub cannot read. Returning visitors are asked once more.

Yes. Both are on Google's list of certified CMPs: OneTrust (listed as OneTrust / Cookiepro) under TCF CMP ID 28, CookieHub under ID 354.
Yes. The Enterprise plan adds weekly scans, advanced consent reports, enterprise SSO, CMP configuration through the API, a customer success manager and implementation services. What CookieHub does not offer is OneTrust's wider GRC and privacy suite.
Yes, once. Each platform stores consent in its own cookie, so CookieHub cannot read choices a visitor made in OneTrust's banner.
